So we've finally sold our house! As home-selling in the current market goes, we were very lucky - only about 10 weeks on the market. It has been touch-and-go for a week or so, but now the buyers have their financing squared away and the house passed inspection with flying colors. That just leaves us with one small issue - we don't have anywhere to go! We put in an offer on a beautiful house last week. It is in a neighborhood that we can't afford, but this house was affordable because it just needed a few updates - mainly flooring - and some TLC. Definitely nothing out of our league. We were very excited...that is until yesterday. The house was a VA foreclosure, so we knew it was far from a sure thing. However, their realtor mislead our realtor and bam! It was sold right out from under us. But you know what I think? I think that it just wasn't the house for us. Simply not meant to be. Sure, I'm disappointed. But what can I do about it? My main concern is that we choose the right house for our family. One that has some room to grow, a neighborhood where our kids can play and make friends, a backyard for fun, and that's in a good school system. That's not too much to ask for, is it?
In other news, our little man has become quite the monkey! Overnight he became a climbing sensation. We had to take the bench seat away from our kitchen table and hide it in the laundry room because all he did was climb on it and make an attempt for the table. Not a good combination. So we nipped that in the bud. But he's still trying his hardest to get onto the couch and anything else that's at least one inch off the ground. It's fun. Sometimes tiring to chase all the time, but fun nonetheless to see him figure things out, and try and try and try when he doesn't quite get something the first time. And one of his best new tricks is giving good juicy kisses and nice squeezy hugs. They are the best!!

Boot Camp and Spring Break
Finally, week 3 of Boot Camp is here. I do enjoy the workouts, and though waking up before the crack of dawn is not the most ideal thing to do, it has allowed me to accomplish something without interrupting everyone else's schedule. But in many ways I'm looking forward to next Wednesday, which is the last day of this session's B.C. I just want to sleep past 4:50 AM!!!!
In other news, still no plans for spring break, other than the determination that we will go somewhere at least for the weekend. We've asked my mother-in-law to babysit during the day on Friday so my husband only has to take Monday as a vacation day to stay home with the little man. Although not confirmed, it's at least a step in the right direction. My friend and I have literally been all over the U.S. map, from Florida to the Biltmore, to Nashville, to Arizona, California, Texas, the Mall of America, and even a local spa, all without a chosen destination. We are hoping for something great to pop up on Travelocity's last minute deals. So far no such thing has happened. But whether we choose to go somewhere out of town, or to the spa on the northside, I'm looking for some kind of relaxing break. I still have a teacher-needs-spring-break mentality even though I'm not currently teaching. Whatever. I'll keep it for a little while longer.
